Creative Direction for Palatial Taste

As a hawker stall serving restaurant-quality Chinese cuisine at affordable prices, Palatial Taste's creative direction was developed to elevate its brand identity, communicate its premium yet approachable positioning, and create a cohesive visual presence that reflects the quality of its food while appealing to budget-conscious diners.

Name Creation & Logo Design

The English name, Palatial Taste was inspired by the idea of bringing the flavours and quality of a grand, palace-worthy dining experience to an everyday hawker setting. By combining "Palatial," which evokes luxury and refinement, with "Taste," the name reflects the brand's promise of serving restaurant-quality Chinese cuisine at budget-friendly prices—making premium flavours accessible to everyone. Palatial Taste's logo design combines a Chinese calligraphy logotype, a customised icon inspired by an ancient Chinese palace, and a classic serif English typeface. Together, these elements express the brand's heritage, authenticity, and premium positioning, reinforcing its ethos that every meal is truly "fit for a king."

Menu Board

Palatial Taste's menu board was designed to showcase its signature dishes with clear visuals and numbered menu items, making ordering quicker and more intuitive for customers. Food photography was done by Teo Ren Jie, with on-site art direction and food styling conducted collaboratively to present each dish in its most appetising light.
